Becks leads the Health Foundation’s work on general practice. She is interested in how health policy can support equitable provision of primary care services and in models of care and payment for general practice.
Zainab completed her Harkness Fellowship at Stanford University and Lighthouse Silicon Valley. Her work explored the question: “How does a person’s ethnicity influence their perception of the use of artificial intelligence (AI) in health and care?”
Aoife McDermott, PhD’s, research at the University of California, Berkeley, was underpinned by a concern with primary care physicians’ employment relationships and experiences at work.
Dr Irene Papanicolas, Ph.D., was an assistant professor of health economics in the Department of Social Policy/LSE Health at the London School of Economics when she applied for a Harkness Fellowship.
